Athabasca University (AU) is committed to a fair, collegial, productive, and respectful bargaining process. Our goal remains to work together to create a positive, high-quality experience for our learners, foster a healthy and desirable workplace for our team members, and enable effective and responsible stewardship of our resources.
AU and CUPE met on February 9 and 10 to continue bargaining. While the parties made good progress over these two days, a deal has not yet been reached.
Both parties agreed to informal mediation as a next step. AU and CUPE will be jointly filing for informal mediation in the coming days.
