Athabasca University is pleased to announce that Athabasca University Faculty Association (AUFA) members and the university’s Board of Governors have ratified a four-year collective agreement.
The period of the agreement spans July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2028, and became effective upon ratification. The agreement will now be submitted to the Alberta Labour Relations Board. This brings this round of collective bargaining with AUFA to a conclusion.
The university thanks both bargaining teams for their efforts and contributions throughout this round of bargaining. The university’s goal was, and remains, to work together to provide a high-quality experience for our learners, foster a healthy, respectful, and desirable workplace for our team members, and foster effective and responsible stewardship of our resources in the service of AU’s mission and vision.
Information will be shared in the coming weeks as AUFA and the university work together to implement the agreement.
