Athabasca University (AU) has entered into collective bargaining with the Athabasca University Faculty Association (AUFA), the union representing academic and professional employees. The first bargaining meeting between AUFA and AU took place on June 28, when initial proposals were exchanged.
The bargaining process allows us to ensure that we are maintaining a healthy and desirable working environment for employees, stewarding our resources efficiently and responsibly, and setting up our workforce and institution to provide a positive student experience. We have confidence that the agreement negotiated by our bargaining teams will support the interests of all parties involved.
As AU and our unions work together toward our collective goals, we will provide updates on key milestones, as appropriate, on this site.
